New Shopware TV series: "Spotlight" highlights merchants' success stories

Amplid founder Peter Bauer features in the first episode

Schöppingen/Fischbachau, 1/12/2021 – With a new series format on its streaming platform Shopware TV, the shop system manufacturer shopware AG now offers unprecedented insights into the success stories of selected customers. The first episode "The Anti-Conformist", which is being released today, takes a look at the most successful German snowboarder and multiple snowboard world champion Peter Bauer, his passion for the sport and the founding story of his company "Amplid".

 

The video-on-demand platform Shopware TV was released by shopware AG in the summer. The content on the platform focuses exclusively on the topic of ecommerce. It aims to offer viewers free video content that is both entertaining and informative, with useful information about business.

 

The life of an anti-conformist

For the first episode of "Spotlight", the film team, made up of the Shopware video crew and partner spieker agency, travelled to Fischbachau. It is a village in Upper Bavaria with 5,000 inhabitants and home to Peter Bauer. From there, the native of Schliersee runs his company "Amplid", where he builds "the best snowboards in the world".

 

The film is a portrait of commercial success and entrepreneurship, but above all of Peter Bauer, who established and decisively influenced snowboarding culture in Germany in the eighties despite considerable opposition. "I've actually always been an anti-conformist, rebelling against attitudes like, 'we've always done things this way'. That was absolutely necessary to pave the way for the sport, which was ridiculed by many at the time," says Bauer in the first episode.

 

The series "Spotlight" is now available on Shopware.tv. Every month will see a new episode portraying another customer. After Peter Bauer and Amplid in December, January will be about Piran Asci from Korodrogerie. "In addition, we have been able attract four further customers for the series, which we are, of course, very pleased about. Spotlight has deliberately been conceived not to follow a purely "case study" format. Instead, it is intended to shed light on the people behind the business," says Shopware spokesperson Wiljo Krechting, commenting on the format.
