Shopware and Adyen deliver new payments integration to help merchants meet evolving business

Schöppingen, 15/02/2021 – A new payments integration by Adyen for Shopware 5 and 6 helps merchants accept global and local payment methods through all sales channels, manage risk, and expand quickly, all in one integration.

As the payments platform of choice for many of the world’s leading companies, Adyen delivers frictionless payments across online, mobile, and in-store channels. With offices across the world, the company serves customers including Uber, Spotify, Flixbus, Mango, HelloFresh, and Zalando.

“Adyen is a strong partner and a great addition to our partner network. We are more than happy to be able to offer our customers the Adyen all-in-one payment platform, thus enabling even more growth opportunities for their businesses,” says Boris Redlich, Director Sales International at shopware AG.

In contrast to most payment plugins, Adyen’s Shopware integration is built in-house. This ensures merchants never miss out on the latest features, and can access local Adyen support on the ground.

The plugin is also set up to dynamically cater to local payment methods and local laws, so businesses can expand to new markets and channels quickly with minimal to no development. Sophisticated yet user-friendly features such as auto-retry and a detailed customer dashboard are key reasons merchants like iSi GmbH choose the new integration to provide higher authorization rates and more data insights.

“Today’s ecommerce landscape is changing faster than ever,” says Roelant Prins, Chief Commercial Officer at Adyen. "Shopware is dedicated to helping online businesses expand internationally by offering new channels and exploring new markets. Adyen shares the same dedication. That’s what makes this partnership so powerful."
