Shopware Community Day 2018 at the Landschaftspark in Duisburg
Schöppingen, 12.09.2017 – Once a year, Shopware, Germany’s leading provider of eCommerce platforms, holds what has become one of the most important eCommerce events of the year: The Shopware Community Day. The company has publicly announced the official date for the much anticipated in-house event as 18th May, 2018. Now in their eighth year holding the Community Day, this will be the first time Shopware moves locations to the Landschaftspark in Duisburg.
More place for a growing community
Originally an industrial iron mill that was converted into a park unlike anywhere in the world, the event location represents the increasingly positive rate at which the community is growing. As pointed out by Shopware CEO Stefan Heyne, “Over the past few years, the Shopware Community Day has grown into an enormous event, with tickets selling out just after a few weeks. The new location makes it possible for us to keep up with the growing demand.”
Same spirit, new flair
For the next Community Day, Shopware is expecting between 2,000 – 2,500 visitors; a diverse public which includes shop owners, agencies, technology providers and eCommerce enthusiasts. The legendary evening event gives visitors the opportunity to continue networking with valuable contacts in a relaxed atmosphere.
“The new event location offers so much more than just higher capacity. Next to the industrial flair, which already suits our company culture so well, there are logistical advantages, such as its proximity to the Dusseldorf airport – a particular advantage for our international guests,” Stefan Heyne explained.
