Why we couldn’t hold the Shopware Community Day in June

The SCD was originally planned for June 4. But the day before, three unexploded bombs from World War II were discovered in the Cologne district of Deutz – right next to our event venue, Confex. The planned defusal required a large-scale evacuation and major road closures. We explored every option, from a different venue to a later start time or a pure livestream. In the end, the safety of everyone involved came first, and the event had to be postponed. We’re all the more excited that we found a new date at the same location – one that also perfectly aligns with DMEXCO week. That means for you: two top events, one trip, double the value.
