Schöppingem, September 19, 2025 – At the Shopware Community Day (SCD), Shopware presented the Shopware Visionary Award for the first time. The theme was “Celebrating the Bold.” The award recognized online shops that boldly rethink digital commerce and combine e‑commerce with emotion, efficiency and excellence. Among other things, the winners each received €2,000 to donate to a charitable organization of their choice.
Multi‑stage selection process with community participation
The Shopware Visionary Award was based on a multi‑stage selection process. Customers and partners first nominated shops they felt deserved the award. From all submissions, a shortlist of 12 shops was compiled. The community supported their favorites in the Community Hub. This voting produced six finalists: Bastei Lübbe, FoodTrail, Müller, Klapster, Samen Schwarzenberger and G. Wurm. A panel of experts composed of Shopware management and award sponsor Mollie selected the three winners:
What convinced the jury
Klapster – bringing stair planning to life in 3D Klapster combines technological precision with a tangible brand experience. The shop offers a photorealistic 3D configurator with multi‑language support. Stair planning becomes intuitive and emotional. The next step will be an AR configurator.
Samen Schwarzenberger – tailored nature experiences An intelligent configurator creates individual seed mixes based on soil, climate or animal use. Complex data are translated into a clear user journey. Gamification strengthens the community. The brand remains present across all channels.
G. Wurm – rethinking B2B The B2B vendor of decorative items demonstrates scalable digitalization. Over 8,000 SKUs are documented in multiple languages with AI support. A lean, natively integrated quotation management system boosts efficiency. Unified commerce brings together everything from showroom to trade fair.
“Differentiation is becoming increasingly important in e‑commerce. The winning shops have shown how to achieve it—through distinctive features, meaningful sales guidance or outstanding shopping experiences. The Shopware Visionary Award is also meant to inspire other merchants to explore new paths,” emphasized Shopware Co‑CEO Sebastian Hamann.
In addition to the €2,000 charitable donation per winner, the honorees received a trophy and a special community status for one year, as well as a discovery workshop with the Shopware consulting team to develop individual growth strategies.
