Job Aid Ukraine: Shopware supports job portal for Ukrainian refugees

Schöppingen, March 8, 2022 – In collaboration with other companies from the “Händler helfen Händlern” initiative (Merchants Helping Merchants) and the business portal “Business-On.de”, shopware AG has created a job portal for Ukrainian refugees. “Job Aid Ukraine” aims to offer prospects and short-term financial stability for those affected by the Russian invasion.

The invasion of Ukraine by Russian troops has compelled many Ukrainians to flee from their own country. Just one week after the Russian invasion, over one million people had already left the country, and more follow every day. The EU wants to offer these people a right to remain for an initial period of two years that grants refugees the right to work along with health care and education. However, the problem is that it is often difficult to even find a job at all, let alone a suitable one.

To help Ukrainians with this problem, the initiative Händler helfen Händlern has set up a job portal under the name “Job Aid for Ukrainian Refugees” together with Business-On.de. Here, the plan is to offer prospects, and thus financial stability, to refugees based on their requirements.

“We were all deeply shaken by the images from Ukraine. It was immediately clear to us that we had to help. Not just with a donation, but also with our expertise”, says Wiljo Krechting, spokesman for shopware AG. This is why the software company is providing technical support for the platform along with a budget for online ads.

The job portal is available in English and Ukrainian at www.jobaidukraine.com. Listing jobs is entirely free of charge.
