Katrin Krebs appointed Chief Financial & Operating Officer of shopware AG
Experienced finance executive from Germany’s technology sector to assume responsibility for finance and operations on September 15, 2026
Schöppingen, September 15, 2026 – The Supervisory Board of shopware AG has appointed Katrin Krebs as the company’s Chief Financial & Operating Officer, or CFOO, effective September 15, 2026. In this role, she will be responsible for finance, human resources, legal, IT, and operations. Ms Krebs joins Shopware from Hamburg-based Scalian Germany AG, formerly Tagueri AG, where she served as CFO and held overall responsibility for the company’s financial and commercial functions.
Her appointment also marks the implementation of another element of Shopware’s new leadership structure, which was announced in August. Krebs succeeds Joachim Weber as CFOO. Since mid-August 2026, Weber has led shopware AG alongside Sebastian Hamann as Co-CEO and will become the company’s sole CEO on January 1, 2027. Shopware founders Stefan and Sebastian Hamann will focus on the company’s technological and product development as Chief Agentic Officer and Chief Experience Officer, respectively.
Ms Krebs brings more than 23 years of experience in financial leadership roles across the technology and software sectors. Before joining Scalian Germany AG, she held positions at software provider TeamViewer, process control technology specialist ProLeiT, and audit and consulting firm Rödl & Partner. Her areas of expertise include growth financing, corporate transactions, and scaling international software business models.
“With Katrin Krebs, we are gaining a CFO who understands the growth dynamics of technology companies first-hand, from consulting and mid-sized businesses to software providers. She combines financial precision with the ability to shape operations, and that is exactly the combination Shopware needs for its next phase of growth,” says Christoph Hertz, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of shopware AG.
“With the new leadership structure, we have clearly aligned responsibilities at Shopware with the company’s next stage of development. Katrin Krebs will play a central role in this. She brings exactly the experience we need to support further growth and international scaling. I very much look forward to working with her to continue developing Shopware,” says Joachim Weber, Co-CEO of shopware AG.
“Shopware combines strong technological foundations with a clear vision for the future of commerce. I look forward to helping shape the company’s continued growth from both a financial and operational perspective with solid structures, clear processes, and even greater efficiency to support the next stage of growth,” says Katrin Krebs, CFOO of shopware AG.
