Shopware has received its first SOC 2® (System and Organization Controls) Type 1 report and has successfully completed the examination for security and quality controls. This accomplishment represents a significant milestone in our continuous pursuit of security, trust, and excellence.
What is the SOC 2 Report?
SOC 2 is a widely recognized standard for service organizations that operate in the cloud. It defines the criteria and controls for managing and protecting customer data in five trust service categories: security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy. A SOC 2 Type 1 report evaluates the design and implementation of these controls at a specific point in time. The reports are issued in accordance with the standards established by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), a professional organization with more than 428,000 members that sets accounting and auditing standards in the United States.
The SOC 2 Type 1 report for Shopware was conducted by an independent external auditor and assesses compliance with the Trust Services Criteria, a set of standards covering five critical areas.
