Shopware 6 Release News – December 2022

To the German article

It's time for the final minor release of this year: Shopware It includes numerous optimizations and also the feature "customer-specific pricing" for users of Shopware Beyond. Learn more in the respective sections or in the release video.

By the way: The coming year is supposed to start calmly. Shopware will therefore be released in February 2023.

Rule Builder: new condition for order tags

With the Rule Builder, you can create flexible rules based on conditions. This allows you to set up numerous automations, for example for shipping, payment, promotions or customer specific content. Choose between numerous conditions.

From now on, there is a new condition that helps you check if an order has certain tags. This is especially useful if you use the Flow Builder to control a process that is triggered when the status of an order changes. For example, this could be sending an email to the customer with information about the order status.

Visibility of manually created customers

It may happen that you create customers manually, for example if your customers use classic ordering methods (phone, fax or mail). So that you can always recognize such customers directly, we have now created a tag that appears directly next to the customer name.

Small improvement for the Flow Builder

With the Flow Builder you can create flows and automate processes. In the Flow Builder module you will find an overview of all created flows. You can sort them by name, trigger and now also by status. This way you can see directly which flow is active or inactive and keep a better overview.

Improved file upload process

Whether it's a product image, a campaign banner, or manual, you're sure to upload numerous images and files to fill your store pages. To help you do this more efficiently in the future, we've optimized the user experience and revised the options that appear when a file of the same name already exists. You can now choose whether you want to use the already existing file and thus avoid unnecessary duplication of data.

Faster administration in Safari browser

You use Safari as your browser? Then in the past you might have experienced jerky or erroneous views when using the administration. This mainly affected versions Safari 16 and higher. The cause was the rendering of some admin components. We have fixed the problem in the meantime, so that you can now navigate quickly and smoothly through the Shopware administration with any browser.

Other small improvements

In addition to the new features mentioned above, we also addressed some small bug fixes for which a total of 40 people voted via our issue tracker. You can read more about it in the changelog.

Watch the summary in the release video

Watch the release video to see the new features in the Shopware administration. Ömer informs you about the changes in this release.

This is about features that are not included in the Community Edition. Take a look at our overview to compare the different Shopware plans.

Customer-specific pricing

Customer-specific pricing is now available for Shopware Beyond. This much anticipated feature allows you to set individual prices per customer group. You can also make use of list prices and scaled prices

High performance

The feature is designed to ensure top performance even with huge assortments and millions of price combinations for products and customers.

API only

In the current iteration, this feature is only available via API connection for now. This is because many merchants maintain their prices via an external system and can add them to Shopware via the API interface.

Check out the documentation on customer-specific pricing to learn more.

Don't miss a feature and activate Shopware Commercial

Please note: Customer-specific pricing is a feature we are releasing as part of the new plans. To use such features, you need to enable Shopware Commercial in the administration under Extensions > My Extensions. However, this only applies to users of self-hosted versions. Read the Shopware Commercial documentation for full details.
