What the Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ is – and why it matters
The Gartner® Magic Quadrant™ positions technology providers within a specific market based on two dimensions: Ability to Execute and Completeness of Vision. It offers a wide-angle view of the competitive landscape, helping decision-makers understand how vendors perform today and how prepared they are for the future.1

Each Magic Quadrant is divided into four categories that reflect different strengths and market approaches:
Leaders execute well against their current vision and are well positioned for tomorrow.
Visionaries understand where the market is going or have a vision for changing market rules, but do not yet execute well.
Niche Players focus successfully on a small segment, or are unfocused and do not out-innovate or outperform others.
Challengers execute well today or may dominate a large segment, but do not demonstrate an understanding of market direction.
By applying a consistent set of evaluation criteria and a standardized graphical format, each Magic Quadrant helps business and IT leaders assess which providers best align with their goals and strategies. In our opinion, the Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce also illustrates how technology vendors differ in innovation, execution, and market focus.
The Magic Quadrant for Digital Commerce applies this framework to platforms that enable digital buying experiences across B2C and B2B models. For many organizations, it serves as a trusted reference during platform evaluations, offering clarity on which solutions fit both current operational needs and future strategic ambitions.

A closer look at the topics that we believe make us stand out
Spatial Commerce – immersive 3D and AR experiences
We stand out from typical mid-market vendors by offering native spatial commerce capabilities – not just plug-in integrations.
With 3D and AR Visualizationand Spatial Commerce, merchants can embed interactive 3D models and AR previews directly into product pages. This helps shoppers better understand fit, scale, and context – whether for furniture, fashion, or industrial products.
Our built-in 3D Preview Generator and Scene Editor simplify asset creation without requiring specialized tools, empowering customers to deliver engaging, conversion-boosting experiences.

3D and AR Commerce lets customers experience products in real life – directly on their smartphone or tablet.
Digital Sales Rooms
We have evolved from a storefront into a relationship-driven sales platform – ideal for complex sales interactions across B2B and B2C, often handled elsewhere by third-party CPQ tools.
Our Digital Sales Rooms represent a new dimension of guided selling that bridges ecommerce and sales enablement – across both B2B and B2C scenarios.
Sales representatives and buyers can collaborate in real time or asynchronously – sharing quotes, engaging via video call, and co-browsing products all within one environment.
Because Digital Sales Rooms is tightly connected with our Sales Agent and B2B Components, it enables personalized sales experiences using the same content and data as the online store.

Industry benchmarking & data insights
We transform analytics into intelligent decision support – helping businesses identify improvement opportunities and act on them.
With Shopware Analytics, merchants can analyze behavioral and performance data in real time. Beyond traditional reporting, the system provides industry-level benchmarks for KPIs such as conversion rate, traffic, and product performance.
Dashboards visualize trends like predicted conversion or customer lifetime value, setting the stage for the future Benchmarking Agent within our AI-powered Copilot suite.
AI-driven workflow orchestration – Project Nexus
Nexus turns Shopware into a central ecosystem hub – replacing traditional middleware with AI-native orchestration and bringing the vision of Agentic Commerce to life.
Currently in early release, Project Nexus represents the next step in commerce automation.
It serves as a no-code, event-driven orchestration layer connecting PIM, ERP, CRM, and Shopware workflows. Users will be able to design automations in natural language – for example, “When stock < 10, reorder from supplier.”
The system also enables agentic AI to monitor KPIs, recommend optimizations, and trigger actions autonomously.
Open ecosystem
Our vibrant ecosystem continues to grow rapidly – with over 1,600 certified agency and technology partners worldwide and more than 6,000 verified extensions available in the Shopware Community Store.
This growth is made possible by our network of integration partners and agency partners who help merchants localize, customize, and scale their operations across markets. Together, they amplify the flexibility and scalability that Shopware brings to mid-market and enterprise businesses alike.
Our thriving developer community continues to grow through the Shopware Community Hub, where ideas and contributions drive real product advancements.
As an open-source platform, we believe in transparency, collaboration, and giving merchants full control over their technology. This open commerce approach fuels continuous innovation – empowering everyone in our ecosystem to shape the future of digital commerce together.

The Shopware Community Hub is the central platform for exchange, interaction, and collaborative growth.
