Schöppingen, 12/05/2020 – Given the situation surrounding coronavirus, the Shopware Community Day 2020 will take place as a purely digital event over the course of two days. Shopware invites participants to take part on 18th and 19th June for the 10th round of this unique industry event – participation is entirely free of charge.
“Of course, we would have liked to hold the 10th Shopware Community Day and the associated anniversary celebration with our visitors on site, but unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic won’t allow that. Nonetheless, we don’t want to simply cancel this event for our community. That’s why we decided to do a purely digital, entirely free event instead”, says Shopware spokesman Wiljo Krechting.
A glimpse of the future of digital trade
As usual, the Shopware Community Day is all about the current challenges in ecommerce and which solutions Shopware offers to face these developments. “Together with our community, we dare to look into the future and share visions of how tomorrow’s digital trade will look”, says Krechting. “At the first digital Shopware Community Day, we’ll present concepts and solutions that can help retailers overcome current and future challenges. In doing so, it doesn’t matter if they are already planning to enter the ecommerce market or if they’re searching for new solutions to optimally map out their business model and discover new potential, even amidst the crisis. In line with this sentiment, this year’s SCD motto is ‘Empower your growth’.” Just as in previous years, the Community Day will open with a keynote speech delivered by Shopware founder and managing director Stefan Hamann.
An event for the entire community
As the Shopware Community consists of many different people with various perspectives, the event organisers have decided to hold the SCD over two days, each focusing on a different theme. Day 1 will focus on merchants, the current topics in online trade, and the latest solutions that Shopware has in store for this purpose. Day 2 of the SCD 2020 will address the Shopware Community developers and those interested. Participants will learn all about the essence of Shopware and the latest technical developments.
