Schöppingen, September 15th, 2022 – shopware AG is preparing its products and services for future challenges of digital commerce and starting a new company era. Following the company’s “cloud first” approach, the software manufacturer is bringing all of its solutions into the cloud.
The new cloud products ensure that ecommerce is simplified for customers and offers a fitting solution for every user:
shopware AG is committed to bringing outstanding shopping experiences to every customer and thus creates the best possible online journeys. “Since the beginning of digital commerce decades ago, we are witnessing strong growth and there is no end in sight. Also, few industries are as future driven as ecommerce. Our core idea is to bring joy to every customer via unique customer journeys, emotional storytelling and a human focused approach. We are giving retailers the chance to stand out from the competition and create a brand that customers recognize and love,” says Sebastian Hamann, CEO of Shopware.

New product portfolio
Hamann highlights how successful companies have special requirements that an ecommerce solution needs to fulfill. Flexibility, scalability, automation and a focus on future challenges are only a few of those. Retailers also demand processes that reduce the complexity of the everyday business and thus free up time for innovation.
“The ecommerce market is fast-paced and is continuing to develop at a rapid speed. That makes it all the more important that we not only occupy ourselves with the current requirements of the market, but also keep an eye on tomorrow's challenges. For this reason, we have reshaped our product portfolio based on evaluations, surveys and forecasts. This will allow our customers to choose between various plans in the future that are perfectly tailored to their needs for flexibility, individualization and scalability,” says Hamann.
Commercial plans replace Editions
With the updated product portfolio that consistently and completely focuses on the challenges and needs of mid-market companies, Shopware is ushering in nothing less than the beginning of a new era. From now on, commercial plans replace the well-known “editions”. Only the popular Community Edition remains as an important, free-to-use part of the product portfolio. This will be complemented by the new commercial plans “Rise”, “Evolve” and “Beyond”.
All of these plans are available as SaaS, self-hosted and PaaS variation. All plans include support, the SaaS version also includes hosting.
“The names of our new plans, Rise, Evolve and Beyond, stand for the ability to continually evolve and develop. Every retailer can choose the right plan for their individual business”, says Hamann.
Openness remains the most important company value
The plans enable retailers to focus on the success of their core business and realize their goals in a faster, more flexible and scalable way. The new architecture allows users to utilize the great potential of the open commerce philosophy and create a business based on their needs and expectations. Retailers benefit from the possibilities the ever-growing ecosystem possesses and can use solutions from technology and integration partners. Thanks to the open commerce approach, there are no lock-ins and retailers can create their business with the “plug&play” method. All while benefiting from Shopware’s stable and agile infrastructure.
