We’ve adjusted our release schedule: the next major Shopware version, 6.8, is now planned for 2027 instead of 2026. The idea behind this decision is to find the balance between progress, robustness, stability and developer experience. Last years have taught us that we're capable of delivering positive upgrades through minor releases including new features, accessibility improvements, bug fixes and other updates to our architecture.
During this extended time frame, our focus will be on these areas:
Stability, performance, and security of the platform
Improving documentation and developer experience
Advancing new capabilities with Agentic AI features
The Extended Support period for Shopware 6.6 will be prolonged and remain active until 6.8 becomes available.
