Noticeably better performance

To ensure that shops remain reliable and fast even as catalogs grow and structures become more complex, we’ve optimized performance in several key areas:

  • Significantly faster product search with OpenSearch: Queries in very large catalogs now run noticeably faster, with test results showing improvements between 33% and 200%, depending on the shop environment. This leads to smoother work in the administration and a more responsive product search in the storefront.

  • More efficient OpenSearch indexing in the administration – the indexing for administration search indices in OpenSearch has been improved. Entities are now only reindexed when search-relevant data has changed, rather than every time any change was made to the entity. This makes the indexing process much more efficient.

  • Better filter listing performance: Attributes such as color, size, or material are now loaded more efficiently, so filters in the storefront and inputs in the Admin respond much more quickly.

  • Optimized navigation: Even with categories spanning multiple levels, storefront navigation remains responsive and stable.

For merchants, this means smoother work in the Admin and an improved user experience in the storefront.

A smoother experience in the administration

The Shopware administration has also received several updates that make everyday work easier:

  • Dark Mode improvements: tables, tabs, modal windows, and select components now fully support Dark Mode, so you can enjoy a consistent look across the entire interface.

  • Configurable minimum search length: define how many characters a search query must have before results are shown. This helps reduce irrelevant searches like “a” or “an.”

  • Resizable app sidebar: when working with apps in the administration, you can now resize the sidebar. That means more room for content or a compact view, depending on what suits your workflow best.

  • Faster administration through optimized caching: certain data is now stored permanently in the background, making the administration noticeably faster and more responsive.

Together, these improvements make your daily work in the administration clearer, more flexible, and more efficient.

SEO & accessibility at a glance

To make sure your shop is not only fast but also easy to find and accessible, Shopware 6.7.2 introduces several improvements:

  • Better accessibility with ARIA labels: slider links now include descriptive text that can be read by screen readers, making it easier for people with visual impairments to navigate your content.

  • Faster loading with fetchpriority: the first image in sliders and galleries is now prioritized for loading. This improves the Largest Contentful Paint (LCP), an important metric for PageSpeed and Google’s Core Web Vitals.

  • More control with configurable meta robots tags: decide whether certain pages should be indexed by search engines. This gives you more flexibility and helps avoid issues like duplicate content.

The result: stronger search rankings, faster load times, and a more accessible shop experience for everyone.

Migration from the B2B Suite to the B2B Components

With Shopware 6.7.2 we are introducing an important step for all B2B customers: migration from the existing B2B Suite to the modern B2B Components is now supported.

The B2B Components represent our holistic solution for B2B business. They provide a much more modular, flexible, and future-proof alternative to the traditional B2B Suite. Merchants benefit from streamlined processes, greater adaptability, and an architecture that seamlessly integrates into complex B2B scenarios.

Since many customers are still relying on the old Suite and migration was previously only possible manually, we are now developing dedicated migration paths to make the transition easier and optimize integration. This ensures the switch is not only technically sound but also faster and more reliable.

Important note

The B2B Suite will no longer be supported starting with Shopware 6.8. Be sure to plan your migration promptly to avoid disruptions.

For more technical details and a full step-by-step guide for developers, check out our B2B Suite Migration documentation.

B2B Components

One of the many features of the B2B Components is quote management – enabling merchants to efficiently handle customer requests.
