Schöppingen, April 21, 2026 – The Dutch business magazine Emerce has published the 21st edition of the Emerce 100, its annual special issue in which decision-makers from the online industry evaluate service providers across dozens of categories. Shopware is once again featured in the categories “E-commerce software commercial” and “E-commerce software open source.” It ranked first in the open-source category and second in the commercial category. In the open-source ranking, Shopware improved its score by 0.5 points compared with the previous year on Emerce’s seven-point scale.
More complex requirements
According to Shopware, the ranking comes at a time when ecommerce businesses are facing more complex operating requirements. Companies increasingly need to run B2C and B2B models in parallel, expand across multiple markets, connect ERP, PIM and CRM systems, and meet growing data-protection and compliance requirements. In that environment, platform decisions are becoming more strategic.
