Shopware Community Day 2025: Program featuring many exciting speakers is set

Schöppingen, May 12, 2025 – In just a few weeks, on June 4, 2025, the Shopware Community Day will take place, where the e-commerce platform provider will celebrate an important anniversary: 25 years of innovation, collaboration, and digital excellence. Since its founding in 2000 by brothers Stefan and Sebastian Hamann, the company has played a major role in shaping the world of digital commerce. The speaker lineup for this anniversary event is now set.

For the first time, the Shopware Community Day will be held at Confex in Cologne, known as one of the most modern event locations in Germany. The new setting offers the ideal stage for the expected 1,500 participants who can look forward to an event full of innovative impulses, personal encounters, and forward-looking strategies. As always, the community is at the heart of it all.

Renowned for its exceptional staging and creative atmosphere, the SCD once again sets new standards this year. A key part of this are the added values that the organizers convey through the event.

SCD 2025 offers more than 20 expert talks, 11 masterclasses, 8 themed meetups, and numerous networking opportunities. With over 50 high-caliber speakers, the event brings the community together to learn, share, and shape the future of digital commerce.

Some Program Highlights:

  • Sebastian Hamann, Founder & Co-CEO of Shopware, will highlight 25 years of Shopware and the road ahead, covering smart technologies, B2B, AI, and the power of the community.

  • Stefan Hamann, Founder & Co-CEO of Shopware, will share his vision for the platform’s evolution and demonstrate how a single developer and AI built a 35-node workflow engine with real-time telemetry and live Shopware connections.

  • Marie Reckendrees and Julia Leusing, Product Managers at Shopware, will speak about the major opportunities of AI and spatial commerce in the shop.

  • Efe von Thenen, Founder & CEO of von Thenen Ventures, will moderate the Commerce Stage and give a 20-minute keynote on key e-commerce trends.

  • Jordan Kniest, Head of Development at basecom, will present on the further development of headless architecture on the Tech Stage.

  • Christopher Henke, Sales Lead DACH at Mollie, will explore the future of payments and unified commerce in a masterclass.

  • Michel Willems, Co-Founder & Commercial Director at H1, will offer tips on visibility for Shopware shops in AI-driven search systems.

  • Fabian Blechschmidt, CTO at Winkelwagen, will provide a step-by-step masterclass on automating Shopware deployments.

  • Jonathan Roxlau, Head of Digital at G. Wurm, will share insights on building a successful B2B shop with over €10 million in online revenue.

  • Guillaume Moigneu, VP Product Advocacy at Platform.sh, will talk about sustainable growth in e-commerce.

Panel discussions with participants from various industries will cover practical use cases. One talk with Stefanie Trimpop (Bijou Brigitte), Christina Skoeries (camel active), Astrid Reintjes (MissPompadour) and Laura Kremer will focus on how to build a “love brand” with Shopware.

A second panel will address the topic of B2B commerce, with speakers including Mark Casidsid (IDC), Ludger Müller (Strack Norma), Laurien Jakobi (Agiqon), Dr. Kai Hudetz (IFH Köln), and Terezia Batovska (shopware AG) discussing trends and challenges in the field.
