Get ready for Shopware Hacktoberfest 2026 at the Shopware Campus!

Join us for two days dedicated to learning, sharing, building, and connecting with the Shopware community. Expect inspiring talks, interactive workshops, community activities, and plenty of opportunities to meet fellow developers, contributors, and members of the Shopware team.

We'll open the doors to the Shopware Campus and give you a chance to experience the community up close, exchange ideas, and spend time with the people shaping the future of Shopware.

And of course, it wouldn't be Hacktoberfest without some fun. Look forward to games, networking, and relaxed evening activities with the community.

A First Look at the Program

• Product Updates with Moritz Explore what's new in the Shopware developer ecosystem. From platform updates and tooling improvements to upcoming technical initiatives, this session provides a look at where the platform is heading and what developers can expect next. A great way to start Hacktoberfest before diving into the technical sessions.

• Back to basics with Soner

  You asked for classic, hands-on workshops at the Campus like back in the days. We heard you! So join Soner for an old-school, step-by-step session on how to build a Shopware plugin from scratch. A proper workshop covering the fundamentals from the ground up.

• 6.8 is coming

  Jonas will share our plans for Shopware 6.8, what breaking changes you can expect and how we want to make the update process easier.

• Agent-Driven Development: From Task to Tested Code:

  Christian will show how to build a reliable AI-driven development workflow that goes beyond good prompts. Using a small software project, he’ll demonstrate how clear agent instructions, quality gates, automated testing, reviews, and feedback loops can help AI agents move fast while keeping code quality and maintainability under control.

• When Things Go Sideways & Other Adventures

  Sebastian shares stories about things that didn’t quite go according to plan. And because Hacktober is about sharing, please bring your stories and tell us about your most educational or funniest adventures.

• Steering Coding Agents on Complex Projects Coding agents did not invent slop, they only made it faster to produce. Starting from that observation, Martin walks through the concepts behind agentic coding and clears up a few half-truths along the way. Among them: prompts are often more portable between projects than assumed, because the actual context should live in the code, the documentation, and the tests. The second part is practical and shows how to apply these ideas to your own project: how to steer the development process, for example to keep overengineering at bay, and how to build up agent tooling and instructions alongside the code. The examples come from Martin's work on complex, long-lived codebases.

• Nexus Workshop

  Time to get hands-on! We’ll show you how to work with Nexus, and then it’s your turn to put it into practice and try it out for yourself.
