How do I get started with Copilot?
Copilot is automatically activated for administrators and is available directly from your dashboard. You can start asking questions right away. To give additional users access to Copilot, you can enable it through the user role settings. Shopware Copilot can answer everyday questions about Shopware features and provide guidance on configuration. These capabilities are available across all Shopware plans. Advanced features, including agentic capabilities and Data Insights, require a separate Shopware Intelligence+ subscription.
How does Copilot handle my shop data?
Your shop data remains secure and under your control. Shopware's AI model provider does not have direct access to your shop, and data entered into Copilot is not used to train its AI models.
To provide relevant and personalized assistance, Copilot can access a limited set of shop information, such as your Shopware version, license details, and plugin status. This information is used to improve the quality and relevance of responses.
Copilot's infrastructure is fully hosted in Europe, with its multi-model architecture running securely in European data centers.
Shopware may collect user requests and feedback to continuously improve Copilot and the overall Shopware product experience, in line with data protection standards.
Sensitive shop data remains protected and is handled in accordance with Shopware's privacy and security standards.
How do I stay in control when using Copilot?
You remain in control of your store at all times. Copilot checks user permissions before preparing or executing actions. You can also define what Copilot is allowed to access and do, ensuring that it operates within clearly defined boundaries. Copilot will never make changes without your review and approval.
Like any AI-powered tool, Copilot may occasionally generate inaccurate recommendations or actions. We recommend reviewing proposed changes before applying them and verifying the results after execution.
Copilot does not currently process personally identifiable information (PII). We're evaluating how customer-specific use cases could be supported while maintaining appropriate privacy and governance controls.

Is Copilot available for general use?
Yes. Copilot is available as a stable release, with regular updates to improve its features and performance.
Can Copilot interact with my installed plugins and extensions?
Yes. Copilot can use capabilities that apps and plugins make available through MCP (Model Context Protocol), giving you a single place to access insights and perform actions across your extensions. You remain in control. Copilot only uses extension capabilities when relevant to your request, respects your permissions, and previews changes for your confirmation before they are made. A plugin or extension must first be connected to Copilot through MCP by its developer. Copilot can then discover and use the plugin or extension’s capabilities for relevant requests.
