Shopware 6 Release News: Discover the new features in July 2026
Note

Shopware 6.7.12.0 contains a critical issue that was discovered after its release. Please install Shopware 6.7.12.1 instead. The features and improvements described in this article remain unchanged and also apply to Shopware 6.7.12.1.

With Shopware 6.7.12.1, you can further improve search in your shop, prepare your storefront for AI-powered product discovery, and take advantage of new capabilities in the Rule Builder. In addition, we're introducing Shopware Payments – a new native payment solution released independently of this minor release.

You’ll find all the details in the sections below.

Overview:

Release news general updates clean blue

Improved search relevance and product discovery

We've significantly improved search quality and relevance, helping customers find the right products faster and see fewer irrelevant results.

Better handling of product codes, sizes, and technical terms

Search now understands a wider range of product identifiers and technical formats, including:

  • Product sizes containing special characters (for example, 32/34)

  • Decimal values entered with either commas or dots (1,5 l or 1.5 l)

  • Quantities and units entered with or without spaces (500ml or 500 ml)

  • Product codes and manufacturer numbers entered either as a single term or with spaces (AB123 or AB 123)

This makes it easier for customers to find technical products, spare parts, and products with structured identifiers.

More accurate search rankings

We've refined the ranking logic to ensure the most relevant products appear first.

Key improvements include:

  • Exact matches are prioritized more strongly over similar-looking results

  • Products matching the search query across multiple attributes receive a higher relevance score

  • Improved handling of short search terms and product identifiers

This helps reduce situations where less relevant products appear above the intended result.

Fewer irrelevant search results

Search now applies improved relevance thresholds to reduce low-quality matches. Customers are more likely to see products that closely match their search intent, while weakly related results are filtered out.

Fairer keyword relevance

Keyword-heavy products no longer receive an unfair ranking advantage simply because they contain large numbers of keywords. Search now places greater emphasis on the quality and relevance of matching keywords rather than their quantity.

Native AI Discovery Files

Prepare your storefront for the next generation of AI-powered product discovery with native support for the emerging llms.txt and agents.md standards. These files help AI assistants and AI search engines better understand your shop and how they should interact with it.

What it does:

Shopware now allows merchants to publish AI discovery files per sales channel, making stores easier to discover and interact with in AI-powered search and shopping experiences.

Capabilities:

  • Native support for llms.txt and agents.md

  • Configure AI discovery files per sales channel

  • Customize AI-facing content and instructions

  • Improve discoverability in AI-powered search and shopping

  • Built on open standards to support future AI commerce experiences

More flexibility and clarity in the Rule Builder

The Rule Builder now includes a new "Quantity per item" condition, allowing you to create rules based on the quantity of an individual line item instead of the total quantity of products in the cart.

In addition, several Rule Builder labels have been revised to make cart totals and quantity conditions easier to understand. Validation errors are also displayed more clearly, helping you identify and resolve configuration issues faster.

Improved conversion tracking with Google Ads Enhanced Conversions

Shopware now supports Google Ads Enhanced Conversions as part of the built-in Google Analytics integration. Once enabled, hashed customer email addresses are securely shared with Google Ads after a completed purchase to improve conversion measurement.

This helps attribute conversions more accurately, even when browser restrictions limit traditional cookie-based tracking or customers complete their purchase on a different device.

You can enable Enhanced Conversions directly in the analytics settings of each sales channel.

Automatic resending of double opt-in emails

When customers register with double opt-in enabled but never activate their account, they can now receive a new confirmation email automatically when attempting to log in with the correct credentials.

This helps customers complete their registration even if the original confirmation email was lost or deleted, reducing support requests and improving the registration experience.

The resend interval can be configured in the administration.

Release news Commercial features & services news clean blue

This section is about features that are not included in the Community Edition. Take a look at our overview to compare the different Shopware plans and activate the Shopware Commercial extension to use the commercial features.

More control with Advanced Search

This improvement is part of Advanced Search, a commercial feature available with Shopware Evolve and Beyond. You can now configure how many terms in a search query need to match. This allows Advanced Search to evaluate multi-word queries more intelligently. Searches such as "blue running shoes" return more relevant results while reducing overly broad matches.

Better handling of concatenated and separated words

Search now treats concatenated and separated words as equivalent. For example, a search for “jacket” can also find products containing compound terms such as “leather jacket” or “leatherjacket”, helping customers discover relevant products more easily.

Native payment solution with Shopware Payments

Independent of Shopware 6.7.12.1, Shopware Payments was launched on June 10 at Shopware Community Day.

Shopware Payments is a platform-native payments solution built on PayPal's trusted global infrastructure. It gives merchants access to a broad range of payment methods – including cards, digital wallets, local payment methods, and Buy Now, Pay Later with PayPal or Klarna. As an embedded solution, it eliminates the need for additional systems or complex integrations, enabling fast activation, streamlined onboarding, and centralized payment management directly within the Shopware admin.

Its open architecture gives merchants the flexibility to continue using existing PSPs or integrate additional providers alongside Shopware Payments, without lock-in or exclusivity constraints.

Shopware Payments is currently available for merchants in Germany and Austria, with a phased rollout planned for additional markets. It is available across all Shopware plans, including Community Edition. Learn more on the Shopware Payments product page.
