Schöppingen, 26/01/2021 – Shopware has made the necessary arrangements for a successful future and expanded its management with two new employees. Winfried Hering now supports Shopware CEOs Sebastian and Stefan Hamann as the new COO, while Jennifer Tribbels assumes the newly created role as Growth Marketing Director.
Hering is a “digital native” and has worked in the IT sector since 2001, particularly in financial services. In 2013, he switched to the field of management consultancy and focused on business intelligence. Hering has been self-employed for the past four years. Shopware was one of the companies he advised during this time, and in October he joined as the new COO. “When working with Shopware, I immediately noticed that the employees fully identified with the company and their work. In addition, Shopware 6 is an incredibly exciting software that I have been dealing with for a few years from a business intelligence point of view. When I then got the opportunity to become part of the Shopware team and, thus, part of the Shopware 6 story, it was an easy decision for me to make”, says Hering.
Two absolute experts
Whilst Winfried Hering has been part of Shopware since October, another new member joined the company in January: Jennifer Tribbels is the director of the recently created Growth Marketing department and thus the counterpart to the director of Brand Marketing, Tobias Blick. Tribbels has many years of online marketing experience under her belt. She’s an absolute expert in growth & performance marketing. Since 2007, she’s been leading agile and fast-growing businesses to new growth success. Most recently, she was Head of Marketing at brands4friends, a former eBay subsidiary. After taking a sabbatical, Tribbels found a new and exciting challenge at Shopware. “I’m a fan of technology and innovation. I enjoy looking at things from a new perspective, and I believe that makes me a good fit for a company like Shopware”, says Tribbels.
The software provider is delighted about the competent new members of staff. “In Winfried and Jennifer, we have found two absolute experts for Shopware who will help us grow. Wiljo Krechting is an ecommerce expert and Manager Public Relations at the ecommerce platform provider Shopware. The media professional has a master’s degree in political science and journalism from the universities of Münster and Melbourne, where he gained experience as a foreign correspondent for the publisher Axel-Springer-Verlag.
