Shopware Visionary Award 2026: MissPompadour, BUS and Villa Schmidt win
Schöppingen, June 18, 2026 – As part of Shopware Community Day on June 10, 2026, Shopware presented the Shopware Visionary Award for the second time. Under the motto “Celebrating the Bold,” Shopware honored three online shops that are reshaping digital commerce and creating measurable customer value. The winners are MissPompadour, BUS – Industrial Tools and Villa Schmidt GmbH.
MissPompadour connects inspiration and commerce
MissPompadour was recognized for a digital shopping experience that connects community, inspiration and commerce. The online shop goes beyond classic product presentations and supports customers in bringing their own home projects to life.
An important component is more than 22,000 real before-and-after projects. They build trust, provide inspiration and make social proof part of the purchasing decision. Expert Q&As, tutorials and project-based customer journeys also make complex DIY decisions easier.
MissPompadour combines this content with an omnichannel experience. This includes its own app ecosystem, AR features, AI-powered color visualization, multilingual commerce and connected POS experiences. User-generated content, a rewards system and scalable in-house technology also support community-driven growth.
The brand has already received several Shop Usability Awards, including overall winner in 2022 as well as awards in the categories “Household, DIY & Garden,” “Community” and “Mobile Experience.” The online shop was implemented by Y1 Digital AG.

BUS – Industrial Tools maps complex processes
BUS – Industrial Tools was recognized for a commerce architecture that efficiently maps complex B2B processes. The Dutch company brings together its webshop, ERP system and warehouse scan app in one central Shopware platform. Real-time data supports smooth processes along the entire customer journey.
In B2B purchasing, BUS relies on role-based permissions and individual approval workflows. This allows purchasing processes to be adapted to complex company structures. The fully headless platform also creates flexibility and scalability.
BUS currently manages more than 200,000 products across 2,500 brands. Automated processes and centralized workflows form the basis for digital growth and operational efficiency. The online shop was implemented with the agency Friday Digital.
Villa Schmidt GmbH stands out through performance
Villa Schmidt GmbH was recognized for combining product complexity, performance and high-quality brand presentation. The online shop maps more than 15,000 products, over 100 brands and up to 25 trillion product variants through the Shopware platform.
A custom-developed configurator helps customers intuitively combine fabrics, colors, textures and pricing structures. This makes even highly individualized products digitally accessible.
In addition to the technical implementation, Villa Schmidt places strong emphasis on a high-quality shopping experience. High-resolution visuals, a high-performance customer journey and integrated personal consultation transfer the brand’s premium standards into the digital channel.
The technical foundation is a flexible commerce architecture with ERP integration, automated processes and scalable infrastructure for international growth. The online shop was created in collaboration with OPEN Digital Experience GmbH.
Visibility for merchants and partners
The winners received an exclusive trophy, a digital online badge, a donation check to support a good cause and the right to use the award title for one year.
The Shopware Visionary Award shows why participation is business-relevant for merchants and partners. Award-winning shops gain additional visibility, can demonstrate their commerce expertise and position their projects as best practices within the community.
“At the same time, the award highlights which approaches create impact in digital commerce: emotional community experiences, efficient B2B processes and scalable platforms for complex product worlds,” says Sebastian Hamann, Shopware Co-CEO.
