For every business model - whether B2C or B2B
High performance and scalability
For ecommerce in the cloud or on-premise
For diverse sales channels and frontends
Among the shifting sands of evolving technology, we wanted to provide our users with a sustainable solution that could stand the test of time. Our next software generation – Shopware 6 – delivers a completely new technical foundation that offers more flexibility, less complexity, and is perfectly prepared to meet the challenges of tomorrow’s technological world today.
Shopware 6 is our answer to the challenges of a complex, ever-changing ecommerce world - it gives you the freedom to leverage your growth potential and focus on the perfect customer experience. Regardless of place, time or end device.
As people evolve, so does their behaviour, expectations and requirements - and the flexible core of Shopware 6 can keep up with these changes.
Using the API, you can flexibly connect individual components – e.g. the storefront/administration, or even third-party solutions like ERP, PIM or CRM – within one centralised and integrated system. Whether smallest start-up or complex enterprise project, every retailer has the same opportunity to quickly react to market changes, create cross-channel customer experiences, and realise their growth potential.
The Shopware 5 line is a highly mature, stable, and feature-rich ecommerce solution that is currently being used by over 80,000 online merchants. Even after the release of Shopware 6, Shopware 5 will continue to be developed and supported for an additional five years. Regular releases are planned until the middle of 2021, security and important bugfixes until middle 2023, and security updates until 2024.
Due to the different architectures of the two systems, a major break between Shopware 5 and Shopware 6 cannot be avoided, and migration will not be possible with a single mouse click. However, one of our highest priorities is making sure that merchants have convenient migration paths for all use cases.
For Shopware 5 and all Premium Plugins we offer:
Since Shopware 6 has a new technological core, a "one click" update from Shopware 5 to 6 is not possible. However, we provide each customer with an individual way to upgrade to Shopware 6.
In our documentation we explain the different options for migrating to Shopware 6 detail. Should agency services be needed, specially trained Shopware partners are available to support the migration. As usual, the Shopware Academy will also be available with a wide range of training courses with the release of Shopware 6.
To the documentationYes, we have developed the so-called Migration Assistant, which establishes a connection between a data source (e.g. Shopware 5 shop) and Shopware 6 and guides you step by step through the migration process.

To the roadmapYes. Thanks to the early integration of plugin manufacturers, numerous successor plugins are already in development. The current status can be seen in the roadmap at any time.

More information and pricingShopware 5 customers will be given the opportunity to link a Shopware 6 staging domain (at no extra cost) to their existing domain. This domain can be operated in parallel and migrated later so that the live shop can be converted to Shopware 6. An active maintenance contract is also carried over to the new shop.
